Plascencia seems to have hit the jackpot with all of the Alma Fuerte cigars as of late. Turns out, the secret to their success is mostly due to a supply chain screwup.
Tragedy and opportunity are not mutually exclusive, as the Plascencia family found. “We received a shipment of bands that were the wrong color. Not only that, but the printer also put “Fuego” and not Fuerte on them.”
Most folks would have went all “Karen” and demanded to speak to a manager. But not the Plascencia’s; they contacted the box manufacturer and changed the name and color. “After the initial shock and anger passed, we realized that we had a new brand without any of the work.”
Some might say you can’t put lipstick on a pig, but Plascencia has never heard that; or, they think that you need to change the shade of lipstick.
