Cigar News Today has learned that the much-anticipated collaboration between Padrón and Arturo Fuente has changed scope since the last announcement at the 2022 PCA trade show.
Spokespersons for the Project say that after the recent NFT craze, both families had their great-grandkids explaining to them what an NFT was, which led to their learning about the Metaverse.
After a several-hour explanation of what the Metaverse is, both families agreed, and a virtual cigar was born. Not only that, but they are working closely with the Metaverse team to be the only authorized tobacco farmers and cigar producers in the Metaverse.
“It will take time to buy the farm, grow the tobacco, as well as build a factory in the Metaverse. Not to mention to train virtual torcidors, but we believe that will be faster in the end than us trying to work together in the real world.” The families said in a joint statement.
No word yet on an oral accessory to the popular oculus headset.
