They say, “disassociation is the best form of honesty,” or is it flattery? Whatever.
“It was time to cut the dead weight; Luciano is a peacock, and you have to let me fly, said Luciano Meirelles during a CNT exclusive interview. “Everything I touch turns to gold because I care, and because I blend great cigars.” He continued, “Then there is Huber and Crowned Heads. They were, quite frankly, bringing my brand down, and we just could not be associated with them any longer.”
So, it is easy to see why Luciano and Tiago Splitter needed to dissociate themselves from John Huber and the bargain brand Crowned Heads. When asked if the rebranded Tabacalera Pichardo, now Luciano Cigar Factory, will continue to make cigars for Crowned Heads, Eradio Pichardo told CNT, “Of course, what else are we going to do with the tobacco that does not make it into our premium cigars.”
